Daily resistance training with Jerzy Gregorek’s program — and, now, mentoring a small cohort of practitioners.
I’m a certified Happy Body mentor, listed on the official roster at thehappybody.com/mentors (Seattle, WA). I’m taking on 2–3 mentees to start — in person or remote — as a side practice alongside my day job and other projects.
If you’re ready to commit to the daily work and want an accountable partner, reach out through The Happy Body mentors page.
I found The Happy Body through the Tim Ferriss podcast with Naval Ravikant and Jerzy. What clicked was the daily habit: something I could do every day without juggling a complicated system I couldn’t keep up.
My goal is straightforward — keep up with my kids and stay active in the Pacific Northwest. Hiking, backpacking, cycling, skiing. Injuries were getting more frequent, and I was feeling weaker year by year. I needed a program that built strength without burning me out.
THB delivered. Micro-progression works — I’ve put on functional muscle after years of struggling to gain weight. I’ve also learned how to work through injuries instead of stopping entirely. That’s part of Jerzy’s approach: the program adapts as your body changes.
As a mentor, I work with anyone ready to commit to the daily practice and wants an accountable partner. I’m direct and practical, and I take your limits and circumstances seriously — everyone starts from a different place. I’m a musician and technologist, a minimalist who spends as much time outdoors as I can.
The Happy Body routine takes about 30–45 minutes a day. It’s not about carving out hours at the gym — it’s a focused, meditative ritual that fits into ordinary life. Progressive resistance means each session builds on the last: strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health together, without gadgets or complicated equipment.
The emphasis on precision has improved my breath control (useful for singing and swimming) and brought the same kind of patience I look for in music or martial arts. Micro-progressions beat intensity spikes; impatience is what gets you hurt.
I train in a weekly group with Jerzy and practice on my own most days. The food timing and structure helped me stop guessing about nutrition. My day feels incomplete if I skip my Happy Body.
